For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), StreamGuide acts as the data controller for the limited analytics data described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

StreamGuide does not require user accounts and does not collect personal profile information such as names, account credentials, or registration details.

2.1 Anonymous Visit Analytics

To understand how the Service is used and to improve reliability, StreamGuide records limited technical usage information when pages are visited.

This information may include:

• A hashed representation of the visitor’s IP address
• The visited page path (for example "/", "/live", "/channels")
• Browser user-agent information
• Referrer page, when available
• Timestamp of the visit

The original IP address is never stored. It is immediately converted into a one-way cryptographic hash.

2.2 Stream Click Analytics

When a visitor opens a stream through StreamGuide, the Service may record an anonymous click event including:

• Video ID
• Channel title
• Source page
• Hashed IP address
• Timestamp

This information is used only to understand which streams are most frequently opened.

2.3 YouTube API Data

StreamGuide uses YouTube API Services.

Through the YouTube API, StreamGuide accesses publicly available data such as:

• Public channel metadata
• Public video metadata
• Live stream availability
• Scheduled stream information

No private YouTube account data is accessed or stored.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

The limited analytics data described above is processed under the legal basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The legitimate interests include:

• Monitoring website reliability
• Understanding overall traffic levels
• Identifying popular streams
• Improving the functionality and performance of the Service

Because StreamGuide does not create user profiles, does not store direct identifiers, and immediately hashes IP addresses, this processing is designed to have minimal impact on user privacy.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

StreamGuide does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or browser fingerprinting technologies.

Analytics functionality is implemented server-side using anonymous event records. Because cookies are not used, no cookie consent banner is required for this functionality.

5. Data Retention

Analytics records are stored only for as long as necessary to analyze service usage and improve the Service.

• Page visit records: up to 90 days
• Stream click records: up to 180 days

Data may be aggregated or deleted after these periods.

6. How We Use Information

• Display scheduled and live YouTube streams

• Measure stream popularity
• Improve reliability and performance
